Converse Fall 2014 Preview

Hello my darlings! 

The Converse Fall 2014 Press Preview was last week and I received an invitation to attend it. I was thrilled about it! I love to get sneak peaks before everyone. The event gathered the best fashion bloggers from Montreal at the fine Nelligan hotel situated in the Old Port. Tables were placed all around the room with sneakers on them and we were given tours with information about each collection. Before that day I considered the Converse sneakers being the white and black basics that everyone should have in their wardrobe. I wasn't aware that they are available in so many styles and colors! There are unisex sneakers, sport sneakers, for winter, for summer, with sparkles, with prints, made of crafted material, and the list goes on. Even the classical ones that are very popular in Europe can be bought with zippers so it takes less time to put them on. 

Some collections represent collaborations with new designers. I am happy to announce that Converse is collaborating with Missoni this fall. Isn't that great?! I will soon let you know about another awesome collaboration within the Converse family, so stay tuned! 

I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a pair of classical black and white sneakers. I never had a pair of Converse before. I was the only one coming in high heels at the event because my previous sneakers are out of service now, so it was about time! :)

Vente de souliers à Montréal!

Les fashionistas du Plateau connaissent bien cet événement du boul. Saint-Laurent qui a lieu au printemps et à l'automne. J'y ai fait mon initiation seulement hier. C'est une vente de souliers offrant des marques telles que L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani, Charles David, David Tyler, Betsey Johnson, au plus petit prix possible. La marque la plus répandue dans le studio était... Badgley Mischka! On se sentait dans la garde-robe bien entretenue de Carrie (Sex and the City).

On peut y trouver des talons hauts, des bottes, des souliers à talons plats, des légers souliers d'été, et quelques choix pour hommes. Ce sont des souliers de grande qualité, les boîtes n'ont même jamais été ouvertes. Les pointures principalement offertes sont celles de 6 et 7, mais d'autres pointures sont également disponibles. C'est pour cela qu'il est important que vous y allez le plus tôt possible!

La foi d'un pigeon

Paloma Faith a plusieurs cordes à son arc. Elle fut danseuse de ballet, de danse contemporaine, commercial pour Agent Provocateur, mannequin, chanteuse dans un cabaret de burlesque et même assistante de magicien, avant d'être découverte par Epic Records en 2008. La chanteuse anglaise de 27 ans a tout de suite fait fureur au Royaume-Uni. C'est seulement cette année par contre que le single Picking Up The Pieces l'a amenée à l'échelle internationale. Excepté sa voix unique, son style ne reste pas inaperçu! Dans cette vidéo elle nous fait rencontrer ses souliers. (Je les veux TOUS!!!!)
